“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?” Luke 16:10-12.
God looks for faithfulness in those He promotes as leaders (1 Timothy 1:12). Dr Edwin Louis Cole said that “our faithfulness makes us trustworthy to God.”
We must also look for faithfulness in those we promote to leadership (2 Timothy 2:2). In contrast we are warned against trusting in unfaithful men (Proverbs 25:19).
I like to call this “the faithfulness test”. We see in Luke 16:10-12 that there are three areas that we need to pass the faithfulness test.
Is there an area you need to be more faithful? If you are faithful with little, money and another man’s then God will entrust you with much, true riches and your own. Let’s pass the faithfulness test!
